Not to talk about taxes AGAIN but apparently Fox News is fucking up on marginal tax rates unsurprisingly and they have a MASSIVE viewerbase so now tons of people think a 70% marginal tax rate means you get 70% of your wages taken.
Not to be authoritarian on main but I’d shut the station down if I could, it’s ridiculous propaganda.
This is such simple economics but apparently lying is 100% more effective than learning about taxes
nobody wants to admit it but lgbt representation in almost all media is in a really bad place right now
everybody wants to pretend we’re in a renaissance when in reality we’re in a dark age, where bury your gays, stereotyping, baiting, and “implying” is at an all time high in popular media. The truth is that people have realized because of the abyssmally low bar that LGBT people have for representation in media, most of us will lap up any scraps they give us. LGBT representation isn’t a statement any more, it’s a clever ploy to get the support of a community while giving them so little that they don’t alienate bigots in the process, and the bar needs to be set higher or else we’ll only see this cycle continue
My name is Reb. I am 18 years old. My brother is turning 5 in February 2019. He has cancer. He was diagnosed with leukemia on August 2016. He is the sweetest boy you’ll ever see. He is such a strong fighter. He almost always had a smile whenever he was in the hospital for treatment. My mother has to drive out of the city an hour and a half one way to get him to the children’s hospital in Birmingham, Al. She is a single mother with 7 kids including me. My 4 younger siblings live with her currently. She works as a hostess at Cracker Barrel. She barely gets $100 a week. I have been trying to find a job to support her. Please donate or reblog to help cover hospital bills, gas, food, cost of living. I know you see a lot of these posts, but please even if it is $1. We need money form him, my kitten, the house. Our electricity will get cut off in 5 days…. I do t know how to make a post like this. I AM BEGGING EVERYONE. PLEASE HAVE KINDNESS IN YOUR HEARTS AND MERCY IN YOUR SOUL.
